Increasing the diameter of the main bolt holes allows for stronger oversized main bolts or through-studs to be fitted, increasing the clamping force. This improves structural rigidity and improves sealing under high loads.
This service includes drilling and tapping the larger diameter holes for studs/bolts but does not include the studs/bolts themselves.
